Born in Hong Kong, Laura Terry worked there in the fashion industry, subsequently moving to London. She obtained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Kent. This was followed by a PGCE and a career as an art teacher. In 2020 she retired from her post as head of art, to move to Tintagel and focus on her own art practice.
